Celebrating the results of more than 30 projects that have been realised in the period 2013-2018 BMN is preparing a brochure with the flagship features that make a museum more accessible. Museum Directory will list the features that make museums’s collections and exhibitions more accessible and improve heritage interpretation.
The objectives of the directory are (1) To promote results and services that have been developed through the small grants programme supported by BMN through different programmes implemented by the Foundation Cultural Heritage without Borders in Bosnia and Herzegovina (CHwB BiH), with the financial contribution of Swedish Government, Stavros Niarchos Foundation and the Headley Trust UK; (2) To inspire other museums what can be achieved with limited resources; (3) To enable easy navigation to museum in the Balkan region that are accessible (based on the social model of disability) and can be the part of the tourist offer for groups that include disable people.Museums that implemented small grants will be invited to fill in an online questionnaire and take part in a short interview with authors of the directory.
