Third Open Call for the Headley Southeast Europe Cultural Heritage Fund

The Headley Southeast Europe Cultural Heritage Fund has launched its third round of applications, inviting organisations across the region to apply for grants supporting conservation and promotion of cultural heritage.


The Fund supports a broad range of projects, including conservation and documentation of both tangible and intangible heritage, raising awareness of legal frameworks, public engagement, capacity building, and initiatives that connect young people and communities with their heritage.

Funding available

A total of €69,000 is available for the 2026 call, distributed across two grant categories:

Small projects – Up to €5,000 – Duration up to 12 months

Large projects – Up to €10,000 – Duration up to 18 months

Application process

This year’s evaluation will take place in two rounds. Round 1 requires only a project proposal, budget, declaration of honor and few online questions. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to submit supporting documents in Round 2.

The Headley SEE Cultural Heritage Fund was established in February 2024, building on the Headley Small Grants Scheme. It is administered by the Balkan Museum Network and funded by the Headley Trust UK.
