For the third time, the Balkan Museum Network invites you to the regional museum conference “Meet, See, (critically) Do 2015”. This year, we will gather in Novi Sad (Serbia), on April 15-17. The host of the conference will be the Museum of Vojvodina.
Key themes that are going to be discussed are:
- Critical approach to museums in the Balkans,
- Community engagement,
- Should museums take sides?,
- Intercultural policy and museums,
- Art and activism,
- Interpretation and Storytelling.
The topics will be discussed in the combination key note speeches, workshops and dialogue sessions. The working language of all sessions will be English. We invite museum and heritage professionals from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia to apply.
A maximum of 50 participants will be accepted to the conference (maximum 2 from each institution). Please note that the preference will be given to persons working in a museum.
The conference is free of charge and most of the costs will be covered: accommodation with breakfast, three lunches and conference dinner, and local travel costs refunded. Participants coming from other countries will need to pay registration and participation fee of 400 EUR (this fee will conference costs, accommodation with breakfast, three lunches and conference dinner).
