Prototype to Participate: Learning from AHEAD

We invite you to join us on 17 October, 13:30 – 15:00 CET for an inspiring online presentation and workshop titled “Prototype to Participate: Learning from AHEAD.”

How can museums innovate and co-create with their communities before committing resources? This online workshop introduces the concept of prototyping as a practical, low-cost method for audience engagement. Drawing on the European project AHEAD, the session will showcase prototypes developed in Greece, Italy, and Spain, offering concrete tools and inspiration. Through a hands-on activity, participants will also experiment directly with prototyping, discovering how it can strengthen participation and innovation in their museums.

Key Topics:

  1. What is prototyping, and why is it relevant for museums and cultural organisations?
  2. The role of prototyping in co-creation and audience development.
  3. The AHEAD project: approaches and results from the national hubs.
  4. Practical examples: prototypes developed within AHEAD.
  5. Fast prototyping activity with participants.

This 90-minute online workshop is highly interactive, combining presentation, hands-on activities, and discussion. We recommend using a desktop PC if possible, to fully participate in the interactive activities
