After inspiring and stimulating Meet, See, Do conferences in Sarajevo, Tirana, Novi Sad, Shkoder and Prishtina, we were very excited to hold sixth Meet, See, Do conference in Thessaloniki, yet another great Balkan cultural setting. Annual Balkan Museum Network conference “Meet, See, Do – a conference that makes the difference” took pace between 18 – of April 2018 in Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Byzantine Culture and was not just the opportunity to (re)discover the Thessaloniki museum landscape, or to learn about the efforts of museum professionals in the region – it was the symbol that the Network had grown and has members from numerous new places than initial eleven. During the three intensive days, three keynote speakers and twenty-six facilitators addressed various important topics. They offered extensive knowledge and relevant skills as well as inspiring new approaches and the best practices to support us in becoming more passionate in our work, to expand horizons and make our institutions more relevant, inclusive and accessible to all.
Meet, See, Do was also an opportunity for members to have annual Assembly meeting.
We are very thankful to the Stavros Niarchos Foundation for recognizing our activities and for funding the conference.
