“Meet, See, Do” Call for Applications

We invite museum and heritage professionals from the Balkan region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Turkey) to submit an application for the sixth international museum conference “Meet, See, Do”. You can apply either as workshop facilitator or as a participant.

The objectives of the ‘Meet, See, Do’ conference are:

  • To inspire museum and heritage professionals coming from the Balkan region.
  • To offer practical examples and the space for the discussions around conference themes.
  • To develop problem-solution thinking in the work of museums.
  • To encourage museum to establish different partnership.
  • To facilitate making of international partnerships.

During intensive three days 100 museum and heritage will discuss:

  • Diversity, participation and models of co-production
  • Museum brand management and community involvement
  • Stories behind shared and divided Balkan heritage

Deadline for application is 16 February 2018 at midnight (CET)

You can apply as a conference participant or a workshop facilitator. Please fill in appropriate sections. Facilitators can also be considered as a participant by filling in complete form. Note that both ways of the participation in the conference are subject of the selection procedure. Selected conference participants will be asked to pay conference fee of 50 EUR. Selected workshop facilitators do not pay conference fee.

Conference fee covers organized transportation via land from capital city to Thessaloniki, accommodation for four nights in a double hotel room with breakfast. Conference fee needs to be paid before the conference via bank transfer either by the institution or individual. It is possible to receive scholarship for free participation at ‘Meet, See, Do’ conference. Please note that BMN has very limited resources and only few individuals will be awarded free participation based on their motivation letter that should be sent to aida.vezic@chwb.org withing the application deadline.

The language of the conference is English and not translation is provided. ‘Meet, See, Do’ is organized by the Balkan Museum Network and Cultural Heritage without Borders in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
