Session Formats
Session Formats
All sessions run 60 minutes and are conducted in English. You may propose one of the following formats:
Workshop: Hands-on classroom
Highly interactive, hands-on sessions that involve participants in active learning. Presenters demonstrate tools and resources that help participants perform their jobs more effectively. These are collaborative tutorials — not traditional lectures — and may require advance preparation from participants.
Duration: 60 minutes
Workshop: Storytelling – Lessons Learned
Presentation-style sessions focused on real situations, programs, and projects, told through the art of storytelling. A strong story should:
• Define the situation and context
• Describe the environmental challenges and opposing forces
• Outline the tactics used to overcome them
• Present the end result and lessons learned
Sessions may be structured as a presentation followed by discussion, or as fully participatory.
Duration: 60 minutes total — up to 45 minutes presentation, 15 minutes Q&A
Debate
A moderated debate between presenters with opposing positions. The moderator poses questions, each debater shares their conflicting views, and the audience is engaged through polling and Q&A. PowerPoint presentations are discouraged.
Presenters: 2 presenters (3 maximum) + 1 moderator
Duration: 60 minutes total — 30–45 minutes debate, 15–30 minutes Q&A and audience polling
