Topic of the Conference: What are museums for? Back to basics!

Meet, See, Do 2021 Skopje – a conference that makes the difference will take place in Skopje on 29th and 30th of September live,  in person, and is hosted and organized by the NI Museum of the Macedonian Struggle for Independence and funded by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia.

We invite museum and heritage professionals from the Balkan region (Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia and Turkey) to submit an application for the seventh international museum conference “Meet, See, Do 2021 Skopje”.

The objectives of the ‘Meet, See, Do’ conference are:

  1. To inspire
  2. To present examples
  3. To create the space for discussions
  4. To enable networking.

Official language of the conference is English. Translation is NOT provided.

The number of the conference participants is limited. All participants must obey official measures for stopping the spread of COVID-19 pandemic by providing the proof that you are: a) fully vaccinated, b) recently recovered or c) tested negatively for COVID19 with PCR test.

Participation at the conference is free of charge. The organizers will provide food and refreshment, but the participants should pay for their own travel and accommodation costs.

Members that paid membership fee in the Balkan Museum Network have the priority for being selected  as participants of the conference.

Deadline for the applications is 20th of September at midnight (CET). 

The Balkan Museum Network will provide ten scholarships of 100 EUR for selected participants. Applications for scholarships will open after 21st of September as a separate online form.
