Crafting Access

Cultural Heritage without Borders Bosnia and Herzegovina is happy to announce that the beginning of the project “Crafting Access ‐ capacity building for heritage and craft-based inclusion across the western Balkans” is scheduled for 1st of September 2015. Together with Balkan Museum Network (BMN), Deaf and disabled people’s organizations across the region and individual craftspersons , CHwB BiH will in the next three years support the museums and cultural organisations across SE Europe to become more inclusive and develop programmes for inclusion of disabled people. The other components of the project are capacity building of the Balkan Museum Access Group, expansion of the Balkan Museum Network to include museum professionals in Greece and initiate the cooperation with museums from the other Balkan countries (namely Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria), knowledge exchange and professional development around best innovative practice for museums and disability access, creating specific opportunities for craftspersons in the region to develop their skills in inclusive interpretation and conservation.
